PERSONAL & OCCUPATIONAL PROFILE:
Client had mobility issues throughout the kitchen area due to a stroke.  She missed being able to perform simple tasks like baking and cleaning dishes. Reaching and having to stand in order to perform her day to day occupations became a dangerous risk for falling.

 

THE HOME FOR LIFE DESIGN:

Open up kitchen space and lower cabinets to allow wheelchair accessibility. Install speciality appliances and a raised dishwasher all within reach from sitting in her power chair. Create knee space at her counter tops to alllow meal preparation and independence with cooking.
